WESS "WARMDADDY" ANDERSON & MARK RAPP, PERFORME LOU DONALDSON :: 29/01 :: THE VELVET NOTE :: ALPHARETTA-GEORGIA-USA.

In NOLA, he's known as Wess 'Warmdaddy' Anderson.
He's held the alto sax seat with the Lincoln Center Jazz Orchestra since it's inception in 1992 because he's simply one of the baddest musicians anywhere on the planet.

Mark Rapp is a trumpeter extraordinaire who heads up this 'Music of Lou Donaldson' project. Mark honed his chops at UNO in the late 90's, then in NYC, and now lives down the road in Columbus, SC. His excellent record, "Good Eats" is the Lou Donaldson tribute that we will mainly be playing from. Atlanta musicians to fill out the group ar the illustrious Chris Burroughs on drums, and Dave Ellington on Hammond B3 organ.
